Application for settling labor and employer disputes (applicable to foreign workers)
Foreign workers include “foreign migrant workers” and “foreign professionals”. If any dispute arises between an employer and a foreign worker, involved parties may apply for settling labor and employer disputes. The handling procedures and related documents are as follows:
1. Application submission counter: Foreign Labor Affairs Section, Labor Affairs Bureau, Taichung City Government.
2. Applicant eligibility and application method:
(1) The applicants are restricted to foreign workers who work in Taichung City.
(2) Fill in the application form and related documents (available from the Foreign Labor Affairs Section or download by clicking the below links). Then fax or mail the application form and related documents to the Bureau (upon submission of your application, please call us to confirm if we have received your application)

(3) The application will be accepted once we confirmthat the application form has been filled in correctly. Then, within 7 days of acceptance of your application, a dispute settlement meeting will be arranged and the worker and the employer will be notified to join the meeting.
3. If the dispute has been settled privately by the worker and the employer before the meeting, please fill in the “Settlement Withdrawal Application Form”. If any of the parties desires to assign a representative to join the meeting, please fill in the “Letter of Authorization”.
